Storm Eunice & South Eastern Trains – 18th Feb 2022

17 Feb 2022
UPDATED Storm Eunice: Do Not Travel
We advise that you do not travel tomorrow

Since our last newsletter, the Met Office has updated its forecast and issued a red weather warning and an amber weather warning for gale force winds on Friday as a result of Storm Eunice.

As a safety precaution because of the forecast, there will be a 50mph speed restriction across most of the Southeastern network from the start of service until at least 18:00 and some trains will be cancelled.

We are unable to guarantee that journeys can be completed

Due to the probability of trees and debris being blown on to the tracks, we strongly advise you do not travel on Friday.

If you do decide to travel then we can’t guarantee that you’ll be able to complete your journey and replacement transport may not be available.

To make things easier for you, if you’ve already bought your ticket for Friday you can use it today or on Saturday at no extra cost, or  you can apply for a refund.

How does this affect my journey?

A number of trains have been cancelled tomorrow, a summary of which is detailed below. Further cancellations and alterations will be confirmed later today.

Because of the nature of the storm, there are likely to be further cancellations, delays and disruption on the day.

  • Trains between Hastings and London Charing Cross will not run between London Bridge and London Charing Cross.
  • Peak hour trains between the Medway Towns and London Cannon Street will not run either in the morning or evening.
