This week we have received an urgent product recall for Stoves, Belling and New World. They are asking for customers to book immediate modification to unsafe gas range cookers, details below. There is also a recall from Home Bargains for SCI-MIX Nutrition Ultra Muscle due to high levels of caffeine.

How to spot fraud and steer clear of scams – Advice from Paypal

With the increase in the cost of living, it’s understandable that people are looking for ways to save money wherever possible. Unfortunately, criminals are tapping into these concerns for their own financial gain – with UK Finance seeing a total of over £609.8 million stolen through fraud and scams in the first half of 2021.

Residents are being contacted by someone impersonating a family member who claims to need help as their phone has broken.

We have reports of residents losing money to crypto investment scams

The Financial Conduct Authority warns cryptoassets, like Bitcoin and Ether (also known as cryptocurrencies), are not regulated in the UK. They have previously issued consumer warnings on the risks of investing in cryptocurrency Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and Initial Coin Offerings.

The cost of living can make us all more anxious about our money and looking for ways to increase our savings. But don’t get caught out by scams. Warn friends and relatives.

URGENT SAFETY WARNING UPDATE: Stoves, Belling and New World renew calls for customers to book immediate modification to unsafe gas range cookers.

🚨 Owners of the affected models, who have yet to do so, need to urgently contact Stoves, Belling and New World to book a modification. Contact them on 0800 110 5728 or email consumersupport@glendimplex.com

Consumers are warned that incorrect use of these products poses a serious risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, until a critical modification has been made.

Sci-Mx Nutrition recalls Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Strawberry Flavour because of high levels of caffeine

🚨 Sci-Mx Nutrition is extending their recall of Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Strawberry Flavour sold at Home Bargains because high levels of caffeine have been found in the product. This makes the product unsafe to consume. Some of these products were found to contain levels of caffeine at levels that could be fatal.

Advice to consumers
