Temporary Road Closure – Station Road, Cross Road & St Richards Road, Walmer – 22nd May 2023 (Dover District)
It will be necessary to close part of Station Road, Cross Road & St Richards Road, Walmer, from 22nd May 2023 with estimated completion by 26th August 2023.
Station Road, Cross Road & St Richards Road, Walmer will be closed, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The road closure lengths and diversion routes for each phase are as detailed below:
Phase 1 – Station Road, will be closed from 22nd May 2023 with estimated completion by 16th June 2023. The road will be closed, between the junctions of Cross Road and Court Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cross Road, St Richards Road, Court Road and vice versa.
Phase 2 – Cross Road, will be closed from 26th June 2023 with estimated completion by 12th August 2023. The road will be closed between the junctions of Station Road and St Richards Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, Sydney Road, St Richards Road and vice versa.
Phase 3 – St Richards Road & Cross Road, will be closed from 25th August with estimated completion by 26th August. The roads will be closed between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. St Richards Road, will be closed between the junctions of Mill Hill and Telegraph Road. Cross Road will be closed between the junctions of Station Road and St Richards Road.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing resurfacing works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
