A2 Jubilee Way safety barrier repairs and resurfacing – Monday 6 November to Friday 8 December
As part of our work to repair and maintain the A2, we’ll soon be returning to finish repairs to the safety barriers and resurface Jubilee Way between the Duke of York’s and Eastern Docks roundabouts.
At the same time, we’re going to carry out resurfacing between the Whitfield and Duke of York’s roundabouts to reduce the need for further closures in the future.
This work is critical to maintaining and improving safety.
We’ll start work on the evening of Monday 6 November, and it will take about five weeks.
- Monday 6 to Thursday 9 November: the A2 will be fully closed between the Whitfield and Eastern Docks roundabouts, 8pm to 6am each night.
- Friday 10 to Monday 13 November: the A2 will be closed between Whitfield and Eastern Docks roundabouts from 8pm Friday 10 November. We’ll reopen the carriageway between Whitfield and Duke of York’s roundabouts at 6am on Saturday 11 November, but the A2 will remain fully closed between Duke of York’s and Eastern Docks roundabouts until 6am Monday 13 November.
- Monday 13 November to Friday 8 December: the A2 will be fully closed between the Whitfield and Eastern Docks roundabouts, weeknights from 8pm to 6am each night.
When the road is closed a signed diversion will be in place in both directions via the A256 and A2. Vehicles will be able to access the Port at all times during our closures, please follow signed diversions.
Please note that these works are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather.
